Nature of course: Open to KCL students only
Outline:
Students participate in a half-day training session which integrates clinical communication, practical clinical skills and team working in managing the deteriorating patient. Students practice assessing the patient, decision-making and managing the immediate situation in real time with a simulated patient and hi-fidelity manikin. This provides an opportunity to reflect upon the technical and non-technical skills required to ensure patient safety.
Attendees:
Final year adult nursing, midwifery and medical students of King’s College London. All student places are allocated through the academic centre.
