Colette Laws-Chapman is our Simulation Lead for Non-Medical Staff and has a lead role in developing interprofessional and interagency simulation programmes, as well as being one of our deputy directors.
In her previous post as Associate Chief Nurse supporting education, standards and practice development she worked with London South Bank University to develop a blended learning programme in clinical leadership. Colette has a track record of working in education, practice development and leadership at Guys & St Thomas’s since 2001. She is a qualified teacher, mentor and 360-appraisal facilitator amongst other things.
Colette has been involved in simulation training at SaIL since 2010 having led the development and implementation of the inaugural preceptorship programme for newly qualified nurses and midwives.
Colette is also the conference director for the British Association of Critical Care Nursing where she has facilitated the development of simulation as part of the national and international conference programme.
