- Have you recently become a consultant?
- Are you interested in learning strategies to communicate more effectively with your team and others, including those you don’t directly manage?
- Would you like to explore strategies to help you adjust to the new responsibilities and pressures of your role?
Being a new Consultant involves significant changes to your working life and to the ways in which you communicate with colleagues, patients and carers.
Aims & Objectives:
On this course new consultants will identify the opportunities and challenges of their role and learn how to build the resources and techniques to manage them. In particular, the course will address ways of embracing your new responsibilities with confidence.
You will explore ways of supporting your team and encouraging a culture of clear communication, and develop strategies to enable you to switch from day-to-day work to strategic, bigger-picture thinking.
This course draws on the Circle of Care framework developed as part of the GSTT SaIL Centre collaboration with Performing Medicine.
